Everything you need to know about how theogeo.ai works, what it measures, and how to get the most out of it.
The basics
Your GEO Score measures how visible your brand is across AI engines when people search for products and services in your category. It combines two pillars: Citation Performance (how often AI engines mention you, how favorably, and whether competitors show up instead) and Content Readiness (is your website structured so AI can cite it?). The score is out of 100 — the higher, the more consistently you show up in AI-generated responses.
SEO optimizes for Google's search results page. GEO optimizes for AI-generated answers — a completely different format. When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity for a recommendation, there's no list of 10 blue links. The AI picks one or two brands to recommend. You're either named or you're not. GEO tracks and improves your presence in those AI responses.
We run your queries across four major AI engines: ChatGPT (OpenAI), Perplexity, Gemini (Google), and Claude (Anthropic). Each engine has different training data and ranking signals, so your visibility can vary significantly across them. Solo and Starter plans include 2 engines, Pro includes all 4.
How it works
We crawl your website to understand what you do, who you serve, and what makes you different. Then we generate 60+ high-intent queries across six categories — comparisons, features, alternatives, integrations, pricing, and general discovery. Half are branded (mention your name) and half are organic (category-level questions where AI has to decide whether to recommend you unprompted). You can customize, pin, or add your own queries at any time.
A typical audit with 50 queries across 4 engines takes about 3-5 minutes. You can watch the progress in real time as each query completes. If an engine is temporarily unavailable, the audit continues with the others — one failure never blocks the whole run.
For most companies, weekly or bi-weekly audits give you a clear picture of how your visibility is trending. AI engines update their responses frequently, so a single audit is a snapshot — the real value comes from tracking changes over time. Solo, Starter, and Pro plans all include scheduled audits so this happens automatically.
Every audit comes with tailored recommendations split into two types: Citation recommendations and Content Readiness recommendations.
Citation recommendations tell you exactly which queries you're missing on and which engines aren't mentioning you — so you know where to focus your content. Content Readiness recommendations analyze your actual pages and flag low factual density, outdated content, and poor structure that AI engines skip over.
Pro users also get content briefs — ready-to-use outlines for new or updated pages designed to get cited. The most impactful changes are usually adding specific, verifiable claims to your key pages, keeping content fresh, and structuring pages so AI can extract clear answers.
Not at all. You enter your domain, we handle everything — crawling your site, generating queries, running them across AI engines, and surfacing recommendations. The dashboard is designed for marketing teams, not engineers. If you can read a chart, you can use theogeo.ai.
Plans & billing

Most teams start with Solo or Starter and upgrade to Pro as they scale.
